The history of sports in India is a testimony to the fact that there’s no lack of talent but of right grooming, support and motivation. With this vision, Delhi Sports University has been instituted to revolutionize the sports ecosystem in India. While leading this institution, I look forward to making the best sporting facilities available to sports talent from every corner in the country.

Delhi Sports University (DSU) is a unique school-university integrated institution that creates a sporting pathway for young talent from school till the Olympics. Majority of sports talent in India that comes from rural, low socio-economic strata of the society has no access to good sporting facilities. DSU will scout sports talent from the grassroots and nurture them to build sports champions in India. DSU will enhance sports performance through sports science, world-class infrastructure, training and curriculum, thus forming an end-to-end sports ecosystem. This will also address the mental health issues that sportspersons face while balancing their sporting endeavors and academic requirements in formal education systems. DSU will also enable meaningful contribution to the society by ensuring that graduates of Delhi Sports University and Delhi Sports School are responsible citizens to promote physical fitness in the society.

It gives me immense pleasure to see this sporting revolution take off towards fulfilling the dream of every Indian heart to shine at the Olympics!
